When we first created our beautiful Worn Oak finish 7 years ago we knew we liked it, but we couldn't have imagined how popular it would prove with our customers. Find out more about why this has become one of our customers' favourite floors.

The colour of Worn Oak is a subtle combination of deep grey and soft bronze. The grey picks out the grain of the timber to give it a gently worn look, but the overall tone of the floor is a versatile soft bronze that works with any colour scheme from crisp whites to bold colours. It isn't a light oak floor, but it isn't dark either, which means that it suits rooms with all kinds of light levels and is reassuringly forgiving when it comes to showing the dirt.

Worn Oak Vintage Parquet Flooring

We create our Worn Oak finish with a special blend of hardwax oils which enhance rather than mask the beautiful European Oak beneath to give it a really natural look that is very popular. This also ensures that it is durable, easy to look after and can be simply repaired if necessary - a must for wood flooring in busy family homes.

Nuances Worn Oak Planks 150mm

Our wide range of Worn Oak floors has options to suit almost any style of interior. The solid and engineered oak planks come in a choice of widths up to a majestic 300mm which can be used on their own to create a modern looking Worn Oak floor, or mixed in more traditional style. Our Vintage oak parquet is gently aged to give it an authentic years old feel that adds character anywhere, and our Nuances oak parquet is classically elegant. Both are made in a choice of sizes and in blocks or chevrons so that you can match the scale of your room and create your preferred design.

We're not quite sure what criteria you have to meet to name something a wood floor a 'classic' but we are pretty sure that Worn Oak probably meets them whatever they are.
