Raw, natural, pared back style is without doubt one of the strongest recent interior trends, reflecting our growing desire to balance the increasingly busy digital world in which we live with something more grounded. Far from a fad, this is a trend which is here to stay, certainly where wood flooring is concerned.

Natural looking wood flooring, and wood floors with textures and tactile surfaces are the perfect way to bring connect your home with nature and bring a sense of the outside in. Unlike imitation wood floors, or cheaper laminates, good quality wood flooring will instantly introduce warmth, resonance and individuality in a simple, natural way.  It will also be a delight to walk on and wonderfully practical to live with.

If you love wood flooring with a bare, unfinished look, our Nude Oak is your perfect match. It comes in a choice of plank or parquet, as solid or engineered oak flooring, so whatever style you had in mind there should be a Nude Oak floor for you. Nude Oak in any form creates a wood floor with an inherently raw, organic look, that is both right on trend and reassuringly timeless. It is finished with a hard wearing, VOC free finish that feels great underfoot and is kind to the environment.

Texture is another great way to create an organic looking wood floor, and to accentuate its grain. Our Chiswick Oak flooring combines the authentic look of an unfinished wood floor with a unique, slightly geometric texture that is wonderfully tactile and picks out all of the detail of the oak’s natural grain. Like our Nude Oak Flooring, Chiswick comes in both solid and engineered oak flooring options in a choice of widths and generous lengths.

Parquet wood flooring might not be the first thing you think of for more rustic, natural looking spaces but it doesn't have to be formal or contemporary in style. Our Vintage Oak Parquet flooring has gently distressed edges and a subtly worn patina that create a soft, informal wood floor, and laid as a herringbone floor is the perfect way to marry  a classic design with this current trend. Choose the bare wood tones of a Nude Oak Vintage Parquet floor for a more contemporary edge, or a Classic Oak Vintage Parquet floor for a warmer tone that is still 100% natural.

And remember, the floor isn’t the only place that you can use our beautiful wood flooring – all of these options can also be used to create stunning feature walls, a solution well loved by designers to bring the benefits of real wood into smaller rooms, where there is less floor space on view !
