Conveniently situated in Kings Cross, London's new centre of cool, the interiors of the St Pancras Pullman Hotel are elegantly designed with an inherently Cosmopolitan feel.

Broadleaf were thrilled to be asked to design a floor for the bar and dining area inspired by the stylish glamour and grandeur of Pullman carriages. It was agreed that parquet flooring was the obvious choice in terms of style, and to accommodate the varying dimensions of the spaces which are entered from multiple directions. Rather than traditional parquet flooring, which would have been too formal for the relaxed and convivial brief, we used our Vintage Parquet which is authentically distressed to give it the soft patina and gently worn edges of decades of wear and the passage of thousands of feet. Its informal elegance and instant sense of gravitas was ideal for the mood of this project. To this we added polished nut brown tones evocative of the beautiful polished wood of the original Pullman interiors, which we softened with subtle cream tones to create a luxurious and inviting floor with a natural years old feel that is utterly timeless and which is the perfect foil for the buttoned leather and tall mirrors that characterise the furnishings.

We were so excited by our 'St Pancras' Vintage Parquet, we went on the create a Pullman Vintage Parquet Collection characterised luxurious multi tonal shades on these authentically worn parquet blocks.
