These clever cork strips are designed to fill the expansion gap that needs to be left at the edge of a wood floor where what is next to it isn’t straight enough to take skirting or beading. They are the perfect way to create a neat and attractive join between your wood flooring and stone hearths, brick walls, or curved steps at the bottom of staircases.
Once fitted, flooring cork will need to be sealed with a wood finish such as our Hardwax oil. It can be stained prior to finishing if you wish.

Flooring cork is sold in single strips which are L915mm x W20mm x H14mm. These should be fixed in place using a water based wood adhesive and can be trimmed if required. They should be sealed with a wood finish such as our Hardwax Oil.
For the best results, the expansion gap should be set slightly narrower than the cork and the cork should be tapped in gently with a hammer until it is flush with the surface of the flooring. This will compress it slightly and create a really snug fit.
