These traditionally forged latches are designed for plank doors, and create an authentic feel and atmosphere. Softly pointed at the top and bottom of the handle they have a rustic yet elegant style.

Supplied with necessary fixing screws. Please note that the thumb bar passes through the door and raises the latch bar off the keep. Thumb bar size allows for use on doors with a maximum thickness of 55mm.
To restrict the latch bar movement a staple pin and a screw-on staple pin option are provided. If you require locking your toilet or bathroom door you will need to purchase a locking staple pin or the locking staple pin separately. These have a leather thong with a pin to stop the movement of the latch bar.

Finished with a Beeswax finish, which is the most authentic finish for steel. Created by dipping each item into hot beeswax to preserve the natural forged colours it gives a subtle, matt richness to the metal and offers excellent protection when the products are fitted internally and properly maintained. An extremely natural finish and a far softer alternative to a black powder coated finish. Due to temperature changes or packaging, a Beeswax finish may occasionally show signs of a white bloom upon opening which can be buffed to a gentle sheen with a soft cloth.
