Traditional Oak Flooring

Broadleaf Traditional Oak floors are selected from the finest french oak, dried, machined and graded to our own stringest standards. They are then left completely unfinished so that you can finish them exactly as you wish once they have been fitted in the traditional way (hence the name).

By unfinished, we mean not filled, or sanded, or finished in any way, so you have complete control over which of these processes you apply to your floor, and how, to create just the look and feel that you want. Obviously we would always recommend that you finish your floor to protect it from marking.

Our traditional oak floors, as you might expect, are supplied as solid planks in a choice of widths and generous lengths. Some options are available for use over underfloor heating but will need to be re-kilned for this purpose. All widths are compatible so they can be used in combination if you wish to create a more traditional style mixed width oak floor.

Our natural, easy to use hardwax oil finishes are available in a choice of unique Broadleaf shades and are the ideal choice for finishing our Traditional Oak flooring.

If you are looking for a traditional style floor that is already filled and sanded, or an unfinished engineered oak floor, see our Classic Oak Collection. For fully finished solid and engineered oak floors see any of our other flooring collections.

Just a note to tell you how pleased we are with our new Cottage Oak floor, and with your excellent service and advice. As for most people, a new oak floor is an expensive project for us and we gave much thought to the alternative materials available on the market at present. So, we are pleased to report that we are absolutely delighted with our choice!
